Also, you should totally take before/after pictures.

There is no guarantee that I will succeed 3: I'm trying but who knows what'll happen.

Actually I did think about doing one of those videos people make where each frame is a new photo of them. I'd have done my full body and hopefully it would proof to get small over the coming months, but like I say, if I fail then it'll be pointless.

That would be pretty cool. It might even motivate you to go through with the whole thing, since, if you failed, it's not just failing, there's actual evidence that you tried and couldn't. I say go for it.

Also, anything sweet and sour sounds good.

We'll see I guess. I don't know really.

I used buy applesauce packs all the freakin time. Until the price went up. Then I started buying the jars of applesauce. Now I dont eat it. There is something about portioned packaged food.

Haha yeah it just makes everything seem easier somehow. I mean, that is the struggle really - portion control. I used to just lump food on my plate. When I have a salad I still have a massive plate but I think thats alright for that.

I think I will keep going with the expensive fruit pots/jars. I just get bored with fresh fruit. Like eating an apple or orange. Somehow it all just tastes nicer when its ready cut up for me.

@Lina Bina: Applesauce packs are great!

@Gagsy: I know a lot of people currently who have been struggling with their weight and want to lose a lot, and have found myself almost trying to motivate them via them noticing my own motivation (phrased weird, I hope that was understandable!). So far one of my close friends is feeling very discouraged in his efforts, so another reason I'm motivating myself to get in shape is so that he can see that if people close to him can, then he can. I find it's easier to lose weight when others around you are trying (and perhaps successfully) doing so themselves.

So maybe you have others in your life that you can draw motivation and hope from. If not, you always have Newgrounds to encourage you! It's definitely tough though. It's hard to change habits and exert effort without knowing how or if your efforts will even pay off. I have just been feeling good eating healthier/exercising lately, even if I've noticed minuscule change (definitely not the amount you have been losing!). I think you can do it though, Gagsy, even if you have tough times where you gain some back or don't lose more. Each week is different, and losing weight slower will be better for your body and your skin anyhow. The amount you've lost already is a very awesome start, so I'm sure you'll be able to go even further!

Applesauce - something I do not get over here in the UK. All we use Apple sauce for is on meat joints, usually pork. I don't know of people using it for anything else really 3:

Yeah thankfully I'm not alone this time. I generally prefer to do things on my own, always have but this is hard on your own because if you mess up and there is no one there with you to keep pushing you on then its so easy to fall back onto old habits. Plus.. its a little bit of friendly competition too which can be a good motivator when you got nothing else 3:

And yeah I've been feeling a bit better with myself too lately. I keep getting spots (pimples) which I've no idea why, but I'm sleeping better now at night and feeling like I have more energy and I enjoy getting out more to walk. It really does help keep me going right now.

Thanks again and keep going yourself, and good luck to your friend <3

Aww shoot, double post, I AM A TERRIBLE PERSON.

I ought to ban you too! >:(

Keep it up babe. I'm sure you look hot although I haven't really seen you before. I think youre awesome. I'm mot going to mention the fact that I cant gain weight myself. Oops.

Thank you kindly, and its fine. I know too many people who don't gain a pound when all they eat is rubbish. It doesn't bother me. I'm just one of the unlucky ones, but thats my life in a nutshell. And it'll bite them in the ass later in life though probably.

congrats gagsy! have you noticed clothes starting to get bigger yet?? lately with me they are a lot smaller then i remember, need to to get active again :(

Lol yeah actually. My jeans I notice a hell of a lot of difference. If I don't have belts on then they will literally fall down if I'm going up or downs stairs. Also my parka jacket is looser and it used to be a little tight when I had my chunky scarf tucked inside. Not anymore.

Good luck getting fit, though you'll always be fit to me Jamie ;)

also, double post just because I can >:

I ought to have sex with you! That'll teach you >:(

Woo, 18 pounds, congrats!

I know, I'm a little shocked really. Thank you.

Holy crap, thats really good. Keep it up sexy lady, remember not to lose too much though. I want something to hold onto when I'm pounding you from behind.

You will have something to hold!

You'll have holding onto the bedframe while I pound you from behind my dear.

What weight are you aiming for?

A healthy one. I would like to be able to see clothes I like in normal clothes shops and just be able to buy it then and there, not get big people clothes.

Keep at it! I just started working out myself. I'm tired of being 18 and only 56lbs. we just need to stick at it!

Pump some iron! :)

Jesus christ Zombie, how short are you?

I've replied to every comment so far and don't wish to stop.

@squidbit I'm around 175cm. Which is about 5.8.

Sounds lovely next to a lady who is 5'4 ;)

You must look like a holocaust survivor.

:(.

I'm sure by the time you've read this, you'll have authored 40,000 posts.
Is this a record? Best wishes in your food moderation and more active lifestyle.
Nice V-Day card, btw!

Thank you x 3.

One for the 40k post (ZeroAsALimit is the current highest poster and BBM is the second).

Two for the wishing me luck.

And three for liking my card ^_^

Have a lovely day <3

Oh I hope it doesn't to me. I'm unlucky enough in my own ways.

Ah well then I hope you can always eat anything you like without it effecting your body negatively.

Good luck Gagsy, seems like your doing well.

I may aswell give you a quick story about how I dropped from 13 stone at 11 to 9 stone at 13. I ate my modest breakfast and my modest lunch and my modest dinner and I stopped snacking and eating pudding. If I felt like a snack I drank a bit of water, but only really as something to hold on to. I avoided squash/pop as a drink.

It worked a charm and was actually very satisfying because I didn't FEEL like I was having to do anything. The only conscious effort was that I ate very slowly, and stopped at fullness, leaving a small amount of food at the end of just about every meal which I gave to the dog. I really learned to love food again but in a different way.

Anyway I hope some of that helps, peace and love, good luck!

Thank you Otto.

God I wish I did something about my weight when I was that age. So many years of regret right there.

What used to let me down a lot was breakfast, I do love a big breakfast. Even if I just had toast I would end up having like 3 slices of bread. I've had porridge every morning since I started this. Those little flavoured Oats So Simple packets. Tiny portions really but its enough to keep you going. That has been the real helpful change for me.

As for snacks I've cut them out. I never had puddings unless eating out so that hasn't been a problem. If I do need a snack I will usually have some low fat yogurt and some fruit. I'm only drinking water and sugar free squashes and sugar free sodas. Measuring my meals has helped me too. I used to be a terror for portions, I know I already mentioned breakfast but it really does take a lot to make me full. Its like I don't notice when to stop eating so measuring stuff has helped me a lot.

Thanks for the advice I appreciate it.

Over a stone in a month? That's pretty impressive. I'm going to have to start getting into better shape when the summer rolls around, but until then, I'll just have to hold back on any unhealthy diets.

Keep up the good work!

I'll get thin, you'll get beefed up, then we shall go on our American trash road trip. I still haven't given up hope!

Great job with your current progress, and good luck with it in the future!

Thank you kindly Jay :)
