Beautiful! I love that tail! That's just lovely.
Thanks! His tail is insanely pretty. Very foxy I think sometimes. And when he's excited/happy it just naturally curls up so he bounces about with like a little swirl at the end of his bum.
I need an adult.
*growls at crotch*
Help!

I love it when they remind you of a fox!
I'm feeling kind of bummed out with our puppy search. We finally found available female pups and we still can't get them. First my parents will only get female sable purebred sheltie from a breeder. My sister and I pushed for a shelter dog. Now we found one and my dad is saying no because just like every other legitimate breeder they are sold with a spay/neuter contract. My dad wants to be able to breed so we can make money off her and keep one of the pups. I think that is such a terrible idea especially considering spaying our last dog would have saved her life. Ugh parents. lol.
I'm disappointed with you there Sen. My mum was the same actually. She only wanted a female border collie from a breeder (like we had with Frankie). But it just didn't seat right with me. I didn't want 'another' Frankie, to just replace her with another collie. And the original plan with Frankie was the same - to let her have a litter so we could sell and perhaps keep one. Never did though. Like she'd let a male dog near her! And I was never going to hold her down.
Anyway, getting a breeder puppy didn't feel right to me, so when I looked into sheltered dogs something just clicked. My mum would never have bothered to get a shelter one, she wasn't that keen. So I took it upon myself. I made the calls, arranged things, paid the donation. Now he's here and she loves him (even if he's a little shit!), and yes she still wants her breeder collie female pup, but she accepts this dog, and we plan to have 2 together eventually, I will make sure its a sheltered dog then too!
I hope your parents will see sense in this. There are so many good dogs out there that needs home and there are just too many breeders still. Maybe if you and your sister take it upon yourselves to find one (or the one you like if its still available) and get it, hopefully they will realise that its the right thing to do and remember that a dog is for love and companionship.
Good luck. <3
Rescue/foster dogs are the way to go. We've done it more times than I can count - by this point when we get a new dog they seem to understand that this is what we do and they act right immediately.
Good on you Warrick :)
I wish mine had the same attitude! He still acts rather wild at heart though and young. I maintain that he wants to spend as much time as possible catching up on his missing play time. When he's older I'm sure he'll be a better dog.
oH....
