@Squidbit: You'd think they'd be smart enough to stick to the tried-and-proven method for weight loss. Turns out there are more imbeciles in the world who want to get rid of weight quick.

There's an easier solution:

1) Slash all snacks. No chocolate. No chips. Nothing apart from the 3 meals.
2) Have meals more frequently. (You may be saying "What did I just hear" after you read 1) Albeit that they should be proportionately smaller.
3) Exercise. (Lazy people like me choose to skip this method, lawl)
if not 3 then 4) Do some form of exercise that doesn't seem like exercise but actually is (e.g walking)
5) Skip the meal after lunch if you're having many small meals spread through the day.
6) Eat less.
7) Sell your fat for money.
8) Claim that fat can be sold for money, and advertise by selling a fraudulent kit for an exorbitant price.
9) Profit.
10) Buy clothes from profit. Or a belt, at least, if you're cheap.

The problem is that it is hard to lose weight. And I understand completely why people struggle (I have before) and look for easy options, even if they are false.

1) Yes to the no chocolates and no chips. I still need to snack between meals sometimes, but only ever yogurt or fruit. Sometimes a low fat small oat or chocolate bar, if I really just need something sweet.
2) I know some people do go for the eating 5 small meals a day thing. I hear they get decent results with weight loss usually but I wouldn't do that. I have my 3 meals and it suits my lifestyle more then doing more.
3) Yes it is the worst part of the whole thing really. It feels good when you're 'in the zone' but its getting the energy to actually do it and stick to it which is killer.
4) Thank god for pet dogs!
5) Only if you're doing that 5 small meals thing really. I wouldn't advise anyone to miss a meal!

Aw don't give up. If you feel you need to, or are unhappy with your body, then trust me it'll be the best thing you try and achieve for yourself. Good luck whatever happens <3

Gagsy, you're so awesome! I am so proud of you!

I think that's a wonderful accomplishment, and no matter how down you may feel in your future weight loss endeavors, you've already accomplished so much that there's really no reason you couldn't progress more or lose again if you ever gained. I think you can do it though. Just reading this makes me want to try harder! I have been being better about exercising lately. I'm not sure how the weather is around this time in your part of England, but once it's warmer out perhaps it will be easier to maintain a good walking/swimming schedule.

All in all I think you're doing an awesome job! Keep at it; all of us here will keep cheering you on. That's great your relatives are going to fund your new wardrobe, and I personally feel that you getting clothes slightly smaller will work in your favor.

I also wish your brother and his lady luck with their child! I actually received news not too long ago that one of my siblings is expecting a baby too (this summer). It's very exciting but with it always comes worry, especially if it is their first child. That is great news though. You'll be an awesome aunt to even more neices/nephews! I hope everything goes smoothly!

Yeah I can't quite get into words just how good I'm feeling about myself at the moment and that is just so damn rare. As a general rule I loathe myself, always have. To feel positive and good about something I've done is just an added bonus of this weight loss. I didn't think I could be happy with my progress, but I just feel so different inside and thankfully my outside is started to look a bit different.

Thankfully I'm never too fussed about the weather. In fact I'm more likely to WANT to get outside or a long walk with the dog when it is raining, then when the sun is brilliantly hot. I'm weird like that =P

One of these days I will need to learn to ride a bike! Terrible I know. I think I'd enjoy doing that. My dog would probably enjoy running alongside me too. I imagine you get a nice feeling of freedom too. Good luck with your own exercise goals. I'm amazed that I could inspire you to do something good too. I hope it all works out the way you want.

Congratulations on the family baby too! :) Not sure if you've been an aunt before but if not I'm sure you'll love it and be a wonderful aunt too. It really is such a joy. I hope everything goes well for them too. Fingers crossed.

I actually saw an article in Reader's digest, which in essence was stating "If you just eliminate ALL sources of carbohydrates and FEAST on ALL THE FATS YOU CAN GET, then you shall become THIN!!!111"

Letters in the next issue then said it can affect the brain and such, and should only be done if you want to lower your weight quickly.

A person then said that he "Lost 2 kilograms" by following that diet.

Also, I think I'd hold on to the idea of buying new clothes a little longer until I've reached my goal, if I were you.

But then again, I'd have more problems to concern myself with other than weight if I suddenly turned into a female your age, size, height, weight and such.

Oh yeah, but I did need new underwear 3: And there was a top that I couldn't resist buying as it was on sale and cool. Getting it in a smaller size and it fitting wonderfully feels well, wonderful.

Thats absolutely fantastic. Well done! As you say, it really does get harder once you get used to it. But just keep changing your work-out routine to keep your body from getting too used to something and stopping toning/losing weight, etc. You've shown that you can put the effort in, so keep it up!

Yeah I will keep trying this week. Having a bad weekend so far. Me and my mother got one of those m&s meals for 2 thing and you get a pudding with it.. We got chocolate of course. And you can't just not eat that 3:

What you should do is go to a store and try on different sizes to see what fits. You dont have to buy them. That's what I did. Then you can go from there. Since you are continuing to lose weight, you may want to get a few outfits at a time. What kind of clothes do you like?

I actually hate trying on clothes. I prefer to jsut buy clothes online even if it doesn't always work out sizing wise 3:

As for the clothes I like.. jeans.. shirts. Honestly my fashion sense is so dull. I like comfort.
