yeah, those were in the last transfer windows when we were actually making profits in order to satisfy Hicks and Gillett's acquisition debt repayments and the mental amount of interest on them

the club made huge profits last year, despite how shite last season was, but it all went towards clearing up debts

with NESV's purchase of the rights of the club directly from RBS, the huge majority of the debt is cleared, leaving us to spend the club's profits on players or putting it towards a new stadium

this is why getting rid of Hicks and Gillett was of paramount importance

Maybe they will maybe they won't it's all speculation. But they have a good track record with the Boston Red Sox and they are making the right moves so far.
