Some people don't get my joy of football/soccer

Posted by Gagsy - March 12th, 2011

Two perfectly different and awesome examples why;

Messi, the Messiah doing what he does best - brilliance.

Even if you don't like football/soccer you should watch this clip anyway. The sound effects alone make it a worthy replay.

That's what I call a good 'tackle'.

That second video made me like football! I doubt that happens a lot though. Every time I watch football on TV, it's full of drama queens who fall over- if it was more like those two videos I'd probably watch it a lot more. . .Thanks for the youtube faves ;D!

Well there are some other hilarious fouls :D Yes, there is a bit of a diving issue with footie but its just a tactic really, and don't let that spoil the moments of greatness in the game.

Yay for favs! :D

Arsenal should've gone through, Van Persie's sending off was complete bullshit, it was a home crowd decision.

No, they should not have.

Don't get me wrong, as a Chelsea fan I know first hand how Barcelona get all the decisions, not just at home either.

And I do agree that Van Persies sending off was a complete joke.

However; Arsenal played fucking terrible. Even before they lost Van Persie, they had no shots on target, no shots off, they were just getting completely overplayed all over the pitch. Their goal was a lovely header! But an own goal. It was lucky. They couldn't create anything themselves.

Had Van Persie stayed on, I still don't imagine it would have made much difference. Maybe it would have gone to extra time, but the same team would have gone through.

Barcelona were class.

Arsenal had no shots either on target or off target and it was patently clear that Barcelona were vastly superior on the night. Barca should have had refereeing decisions at the Emirates too, and were probably the better team despite some poor goalkeeping from Valdes.

Messi is too sick though. Unbelievable player.

Yeah Arsenal were just shocking really.

Also, on the second one, oooohhh that's a nasty one..

Hilariously nasty. Or maybe I just think so because I lack a penis. It just cracks me up.

Football is pretty overrated in my country too.

Yeah it is overrated but still good.

Has your whole life flashed before your eyes?
A cup of tea, a cup of tea, almost got shagged, a cup of tea.

Beautiful.

The video you requested is not available.

Get deity whistele status or I won't talk to you ever again Stat absorborrr

The video was deleted? Boo. Let me change it.

I stopped trying to get Deity whistle, I should try again sometime.

Can people on the internet really be your friends? >:(

Sure.

Not included is the 2 and half hours of running back and forth that happens prior

90 minutes*

And that's called tactics, working the ball. Entertaining when done right.

Yeah, grabbing each other's dicks, faking being hit and being in pain, scoring one goal every 3 years.

What a great sport.

Swing and a miss.

What team do you support?

Chelsea.

At 0:30 in the second video you see best that he clearly GRABS the white players balls with his hands.

Sexy isn't it?

Holy shit that first video. How the fuck did he do that? And the second video is a prime example to why cups are a great idea.

How? He is Messi. He makes professional football look like childsplay.

fag

Burn.

Ewww vid 2nd's sfx lmao

^_^

I was hoping you would just call it football then I could get angry at you
(even though neither terms are wrong...)

It IS football. I only used the term soccer to keep the Americans happy. Doesn't stop that being the rightful sport for the term.

He'll never score in Chelsea blue,
Torres, Torres,
His hair is shit, Fernando Who?
Torres, Torres,
We bought the lad from sunny Spain,
He scored for us, he won't again,
Fernando Torres,
Chelsea rentboy flop!

Least he gets to play in the Champions League again. ;)

*Sit on the bench in the Champions league again

He played for about half an hour.

The point was to keep him ready for Man City at the weeked, considering it was pretty clear we weren't going to lose yesterday.

That goal was brilliant! Outstanding footwork by Messi!
