And we're just chatting generally as I make the things for him and he says to me;
"We're best friends"
I literally felt like crying right there. Of course he likes me because I buy him nice toys and have many gizmos in my room which he loves to try and destroy (much to my displeasure), but to hear that and realise the love he has for me back was one of the most amazing feelings I've had in a long time.
I forget how special children can be.

I've actually had my own brother say the same thing. And I don't even buy him toys, I just make the odd funny face, joke, and gesture.

I don't like shower him with gifts. I just happen to spend more on him then I probably should every now and then. I think its my own stuff that he likes most really. I have too much nerdy, colourful stuff that he seems to take great pleasure in trying to destroy. Also its probably the fact that I put on videos for him to watch online. And we watch them together. Watching Toy Story 3 last week he told me that he was Buzz and I was Jessie. It was innocently cute.
